An Introduction and Proper Understanding of Numerology
What is Numerology?
The word "Numerology" is a modern term that most likely emerged between the 17th and 19th century. It is the science of numbers, letters and sounds, which are all interrelated: numbers to letters, letters to numbers, numbers to sound and sound to numbers and hence letters.
The sound component has been forgotten over the years and is being revived. As part of his research, Jean-Pierre has identified a few rare numerologists working with sound. He also is currently conducting a research with another numerologist and a music teacher on the interrelation of sound and numbers.
Numerology is a combination of all of the above. It deals with how numbers, letters and sounds interact to impact us, our world and the universe.
Numerology is one of the three major components of Kaballah and comes under the heading of 'Guematria' or "Gematria'.
How is Numerology used?
- Each letter has a numeric value that provides a cosmic vibration.
- Each number is linked to a musical note.
- In essence, numerology is an offshoot of basic arithmetic, geometry and the science of cycles
What is Esoteric Numerology?
Esoteric Numerology is the art of understanding the spiritual significance and progression of every name, word or letter that vibrates to a number and how they affect us. Every letter corresponds to a number. Every number has a meaning. When deciphered, properly understood and applied, letter and numbers point to a direct relationship with the metaphysical universe and our spirituality.
What Does Numerology Do?
Numerology deciphers names and numbers, explaining what they mean. It paints a detailed portrait of our spiritual identity, who we are, what our potentials and challenges are, have been and will be.
Numerology teaches what our mission in life is, our prime motivation and much more. Numerology helps us to:
- Achieve a better identity understanding of ourselves and others
- Visualize ourselves more clearly
- Recognize our talents and strengths
- Acknowledge our qualities and traits (positive and negative)
- Identify our lessons and discover how to resolve them

As self-awareness increases, we achieve a more objective and wiser view of our lives. We make better choices in compliance with our cosmic contract, which contains the reasons for our presence and passage during this lifetime.

How Does Numerology help?
Numerology uses and analyzes the combination of the date of birth and the letters in your name to:
- Identify and determine a number of different aspects in your profile Provide insight and guidance.
- Through the analysis of your date of birth, the vowels and consonants in your full name and their interaction, numerology hightlights your mission in life, your stumbling blocks, and much more.
- Your date of birth indicates your Life Path which is the main course your life will follow. Your Life Path represents who you are at birth and the traits you will carry through your life. Your Life Path is like your "railroad track". We have the choice to travel at our own speed and either stay on these rails and accomplish our mission or … derail. Feeling we are not progressing in life simply means we are derailing. Unless we come back on track, we will not achieve our mission and will most likely carry a karmic debt into another life.
The sum of letters and numbers in the makeup of your name and date of birth are your cosmic "signature": they show a lot about your character, driving force, assets, weaknesses, purpose in life, talents, lessons and what you need to do to better control your life path and achieve your mission during this lifetime.
How Does a Numerologist Work?
The numerologist decodes letters and numbers to attune them to correlating number patterns and cycles derived from a chart. By combining the various patterns, by analyzing the various cycles, he extracts and analyzes the information that allows him to gain an understanding of an individual's makeup and cosmic signature.
Is Everything cast in Stone?
Certainly not. Nothing is set in stone. Numerology identifies your path and points you in the right direction. Whatever you opt to do is your free choice. You may, however, be very pleasantly surprised at how life improves and things fall into place if follow your path.
